What can you expect when working with WeaveChange?

First and foremost, we take a popular education model to the way we teach. This means that we all learn together, through a collective and highly participatory approach. We each have a lot to learn from each other!

We also approach our work and relationships through a feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppressive (ARAO) lens. We center the voices of women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people, and that is reflected in how we approach our process, the work we’ll do together, as well as across our staff, board of directors, and facilitation network.

We exist to support CAWI’s vision of an Ottawa, and a country, in which the knowledge and leadership of women and gender-diverse people are fully valued— a city where diverse experiences, cultures and perspectives are honoured and viewed as an asset in building an inclusive, caring and just community.

This approach is embedded in our highly collaborative, inclusive, and equitable process as we work with you to meet your EDI objectives and create lasting and meaningful impact in your organization and community.

Here’s Our Process

Needs Assessment

First, we’ll have you fill out our Needs Assessment form so we have an idea of what you’re looking for. It’s always helpful for us to know what is driving this training/workshop, if there are any specific pain points, issues or incidents you would like us to consider when developing the content. From there, we’ll sit down together to discuss the scope of work, timelines and budget expectations.

Based on our conversation, we will provide an outline and accompanying quote for your review. Feedback and suggestions are welcome, we strive to meet our clients where they are at.

Contract signing and project kick-off!

Once we have a signed contract, we’ll book a kick-off conversation with you and your team to ensure the process is clear and answer any initiation questions. We always have open channels of communication throughout the process, and are happy to address anything as it may arise.
